On April 12, 2019, Google awarded MiWeb with the Gold Agency Award statuette, thanks to the presentation of a success story with a customer of the Costa Rican automotive industry.

The delivery took place during Google Week, an event held from April 8 to 12 at Google’s offices in Bogota, Colombia.
This is the first year the award is held. It rewards brands and agencies that have participated in the event for previous years and demonstrated the application of best practices of digital marketing and analytics.
“The award is very similar to that of Google Partners […] The award is based on economic growth and customer acquisition, action of products and services that offer […] MiWeb is a “role model” to follow in the region,” said César Rodrigo, Education Leader for Latin America, in charge of presenting the award.
For his part, Google’s Stratether Leader for MiWeb highlighted the profitability growth that the customer’s account has had, which increased by 256% and MiWeb’s total account grew by 56%.
The award was hosted by Nicole Badilla Picado, Social Media Specialist and Amanda Esteban Zúñiga, Commercial Coordinator of MiWeb.

To the question of what are the tips you can give to brands and agencies to participate in the award?, they mentioned that Google’s support and guidance is vital for consulting towards its customers. This is reflected in the teamwork of both the customer, such as MiWeb and Google. The certifications of the collaborators and the company itself, added to the participation in the events such as Google Next, Google Analytics Partners Summit, Google Cloud Summit and Google Week, among others.
Leveraging training in Google Academy programs, follow-up and accompaniment meetings with customers, newsletters; Google’s beta solution request and evaluation of all information received for the correct application on customers’ accounts are part of the tips they mentioned during delivery.
Badilla and Esteban urge other agencies and brands to participate in Google’s update and promotion events, to certify and continue to apply the learnings they get from the education facilities that Google offers.
During the award were agencies and brands from Central American and Caribbean countries. Apart from MiWeb, BAC Credomatic Central America was awarded the Brand Gold Award.
